This page lists websites where students make and print a project from the internet. In addition, I have included sites where students make video slide shows for sharing with others. Review 4-6 sites here. Ask yourself the following questions about each site:
- Are the directions and/or the process appropriate for your grade level?
- Can you print or view the project?
ColoringColoring Pages
DLTK's Coloring Pages Second graders love to print things out. Students can easily learn how to navigate these sites to find pictures that they can print and color. This site is for fun, but you may find some educational pictures to print. Limit the number of pages that students can print. You can make simple timelines on the internet and print them. There are options for how you want to categorize your events, i.e. time, date, event. You have an option to print it vertically or horizontally. Profile Publisher
This activity allows students to create a profile like they would on a social network. They do not need to make one about themselves but can make one about a famous or historical figure. Popplet
There are several mind mapping tools online. This particular one does not require a login and has an easy to use format for children. The popplet's colors may be changed and a drawing may be created within it in place of text.

Type in a group of words to make a random word layout. Colors and fonts can be changed.
Madlibs
Enter parts of speech and print the resulting stories. Poetry Machine
Choose from a variety of poetry forms, fill in the blanks and print your poem. Types of poems include Haiku, Cinquain, and many more. You may also copy and paste the poem into a Word document or other application. Poetry 4 Kids This site describes more than 50 types of poems and provides examples and a template. However, you cannot make the poem online. Mad Libs
Find more than 100 different online interactive mad lib forms on this site. Select your story title, type in the part of speech, and see the results. Definitions for each part of speech are provided. Mad Takes Another Mad Lib site with 188 different stories to choose. This site has a button to generate a random word for many of the items. Professor Garfield Comic Strip

Upload your photos to make a variety of projects, including magazine covers, photo booth, movie posters, and more. Online Greeting Cards
Video/Photo SitesThese four sites allow you to create videos from picture files. It is similar to Microsoft's PhotoStory that you can download from Microsoft, except you do not need to convert it. Once you make the videos, you can embed them on a website or share them with a friend. Animoto allows you to set up an education account for free to have full access.
Image Chef
Create custom text graphics similar to a Wordle or a photo image projects such as photo frames, Facebook covers, banners, and more. You may upload your own photos, personalize text, and then share results through email, embedded scripts, or posting on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest. Be Funky
Navigate to this easy to use photo editing website to transform your pictures into a work of art, such as a water color or cartoon. Text, stamps, speech bubbles, and frames, etc. may also be added to the photos. Photos may also be downloaded.
