Interactive Websites: Language Arts
Many of the interactive websites for language arts are for primary grade students. As students get older, the focus turns from phonics and word activities to learning how to find information (research) or making projects using the internet. As you explore these websites, ask yourself the following questions:
1. What grade level(s) can this website be used?
2. How can I monitor that students are completing tasks on the website?
3. What happens when students answer questions incorrectly?
4. When and how do I fit this website in with the instruction in my classroom?
5. What problems can you anticipate with students using this website?
6. Will students be able to navigate this site easily?
